GST Autoplay Pilot for HTMLTutorial

We have taken all the good points from the original Autoplay Pilot and built a wizard based tool that is very easy to use. All you need to know is how to create a HTML page. The GST Autoplay Pilot has a wizard that asks you questions step-by-step and puts everything together for you to make your HTML page run on a CD.

Here is how to register

To register Autoplay Pilot, first purchase it from our purchase page and you will receive a registration code. Click Enter Registration on the menu as shown above, then enter the number and click register.

Here is a step-by-step look at the wizard

Go over a checklist to make sure you have everything ready

This checklist covers the structure of your HTML site and flash screen preparations..

A Typical HTML site will have index.htm as the starting page, a number of linked pages and one or more supporting image folders. This entire set of files should be copied to the working folder. Once these files are there, then you use the Autoplay Pilot wizard to designate the starting HTML page, a graphic for the flash screen, then you click the build button and the files necessary to make the CD autorun are added to the working folder.

Designate a working folder

Working Folder = A place to assemble a group of files that will go on to the CD.

A Typical HTML site will have index.htm as the starting page, a number of linked pages and one or more supporting image folders. This entire set of files should be copied to the working folder.

Select your starting HTML page

Now select the HTML page that will start on autorun.

Note that you can start an HTML page within a folder by typing in a folder name. An example of this would be typing myweb\index.htm will cause the index.htm within the myweb folder on the CD to be launched.

If you want to start a web page on the internet when the CD is inserted, just type in the full web address in the edit field.   Example: http://www.autorun-autoplay-tools.com/

Select your Flash Screen graphic

This is where you select the graphic file that will display right before the HTML browser. This should be a JPG or GIF image. If you don't select a graphic image, the browser will start immediately.

Select the timing of the Flash Screen.

This is where you select the duration of the flash screen that shows briefly before the browser. If you didn't select a graphic image, the time will not be used.

Final Check

This is the final check before building the files for the CD. Check over everything and go back and correct anything that is not what you expected it to be.

Build all the files needed for your CD

When you press the Step 2 (Build) button, the GST Autoplay Pilot assembles all the necessary files in the working folder.

Take note of the warning above. If you go to the working folder and click on the autorun.exe, it will not always work right due to the path. The autorun.exe is set up to run from the root folder of the CD. You will need to copy all the files to a CD and burn it to test it properly.

Create Your CD

Now, using your CD Creation program, copy all the files to the CD. Shown above is how it would look if you have EasyCDCreator 5. If you have another CD creator program, it should look similar with a source directory and a CD directory. Note that we copy all the files inside the working folder to the root directory of the CD. Do not copy the working folder, this will not work. All the files inside the staging folder must be copied (Select All then Copy) to the CD.

Burn your CD

Go ahead and record the CD and put it in a CD drive and test it out
