Here is a step-by-step look

Get your graphics and mp3 files ready and gather them together in a folder. Here we have gathered them in a folder named c:\cdbuildarea

wiz1.jpg (11192 bytes)

The maximum number of pictures you will need is six, one for the home section and one for each of five pages. The pictures must be of type JPG and the best size is 380 by 280 pixels. If they are larger they will be cropped at the right side and bottom.

Important Note About JPEGs

Flash will not load "progressive" JPEGs correctly. If you have the problem where a JPEG won't display, it is probably a "progressive", the JPEG equivalent to the interlaced GIF. The way to fix this is to load the troublesome JPEG into a graphic editor like Paint Shop Pro and do a SaveAs to a BMP format. Then do a SaveAs of the BMP version to JPEG. This will change it back to a normal JPEG.

If you can't get it to work, send it to support@autorun-autoplay-tools.com and we will fix it up for you and send it back.

Markup the text in the ResBusCard Editor

wiz2.jpg (15628 bytes)

Go to Start / Programs / GST Resume-Business-Card-Maker / GST RBC Maker Program

You will see a text editor like shown above.

Notice there are pairs of markup tags in brackets followed by your information within brackets. Make sure that you don't change the tag but only change the information surrounded by brackets following the tag. Make sure that you information starts with an open bracket '[' and ends with a close bracket ']'.

All of the text surrounded by "//" slashes is comments and wont be seen in the final flash player output.

If you have trouble figuring it out, do a File / Open template of the gstech.tem in the samples folder. C:\Program Files\GST Resume-Business Card Maker\sample\gstech.tem and compare what you see in the sample to the markup information.

Here are some examples:

// Title for main intro page //
[IntroPage] [Your Company Name]

// Text and URL for the website link on every page //
[WebsiteText] [My Web Site]
[WebsiteURL] [http://www.autorun-autoplay-tools.com]

// Titles for all pages - Introduction and five detail pages //
[HomePageTitle] [Introduction to your resume or company]
[Page1Title] [Title for page 1]

When you get done editing, go to File / SaveAs Template and save your work with a name and folder of your choice. You will be able to open this later to make minor corrections.

More about the build folder

wiz4.jpg (12153 bytes)

Your build folder should like the one shown above. It should contain three program files.

  1. resbccd.exe - The flash player

  2. autorun.inf - The autorun starter file

  3. res.prm - The file containing your customized text and information.

The build folder should also contain your graphic files (must be JPG) and audio files (must be MP3). You will need to manually copy these files here using the Windows Explorer.

Create your CD

pl2_dlg5.gif (26006 bytes)

Now, using your CD Creation program, copy all the files to the CD. Shown above is how it would look if you have EasyCDCreator 5. If you have another CD creator program, it should look similar with a source directory and a CD directory. Note that we copy all the files inside the cdbuildarea folder to the root directory of the CD. Do not copy the cdbuildarea folder, this will not work. All the files inside the cdbuildarea folder must be copied (Select All then Copy) to the CD.
