I'm a volunteer teacher in the evening and wished to place all my reference material
on a CD for my students. I wanted the CD to auto-start but had no idea how to accomplish
this. I located your web site through Alta Vista. While at work (shhh!), I downloaded the
Easel demo. When I arrived home I installed the program and created all the nus I needed
for the CD in fifteen minutes (not 15 minutes for just one menu as you had inferred).
As soon as I saw the results I went to your web site and purchased the program. I will now
have a professional looking menu for my class instead of a printed sheet explaining the
contents of the CD.

I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about when you say you can build an
Autorun in 15 minutes since using Pilot, I can "build" an autorun in 30 seconds.

I am a professor of mathematics at Kennesaw State University which is located near
Atlanta Georgia. I use my computer as my blackboard when I am teaching. I type into my
computer with the help of a scientific word processor called Scientific Notebook and
project the image on my computer screen onto a large screen using a multimedia projector.
At the same time, I use a product called Hypercam to record my changing computer screen
together with everything I am saying into the form of an AVI file that serves as a sound
movie recording of my lecture.
At the end of each lecture, I drag my lecture notes into my website so that the students
can access them and print them and then I use an absolute gem of a product, called GST
Easel, to master a CD that will contain my lecture notes and the AVI file and that that
each student will receive within two hours after the lecture ends.
The most important aspect of GST Easel, for me is its ease of use. Each time I finish
teaching, I open the CD layout of my previous lecture in GST Easel, and it takes me less
than a minute to update the layout to fit the lecture I have just given. In this way, I
obtain a CD that brings up an attractive welcome screen automatically when the student
inserts it into a computer and that contains menu items on which the student can click to
view or print my lecture notes or to watch the sound movie version of my lecture.
GST Easel has been a wonderful asset to me over the past couple of years and I don't know
what I would have done without it. Still, I'm now beginning to cast my eye at the other
products in GST's impressive product line in order to make CDs that are even more
impressive than the ones I'm making now.
